Rajkot Kelvani Samaj Trust
The Rajkot Kelvani Samaj was registered on 30/05/1979 by Public Trust Registration Office, Rajkot. The main activities are the services to society, mainly health services and education at all levels. The trust is of Christians of Roman Catholic Religion. It is a “Minority” Status. Dr. Gregory Karotemprel, Bishop of Rajkot, is the President of Rajkot Kelvani Samaj.
Rajkot Kelavani Samaj is quite known for its contribution in quality education in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science & Engineering, through Christ College and Christ Polytechnic Institute within the same campus.
Mission of the Promoting Body
Christ group of Colleges are minority institutes with a secular outlook and strive to be an ideal temple of higher learning in Saurashtra and Kutch region by redefining higher education marked with Quality, dynamism, creativity, sensitivity and versatility.
The broad objective our institutes can be summarized in the following mission statement.
“To provide innovative and quality systems of learning in the field of various engineering and management courses to the young generation through quality education, and to equip them to become prolific, productive, proactive engineers and mangers and responsible citizens of the nation.”
As an extension to our mission, we plan to initiate Management courses to impart state of the art knowledge thereby facilitating the vertical growth of the students’ community studying at our campus.
Vision of the Promoting Body
We now intend to develop Management & Technical education in the rural and urban areas by setting quality, standards, creating socially and economically viable and constructive collaborations with well established institutes and by providing the required assistance to other eager institutes and thereby achieving the objective of quality higher technical education in this area. We also perceive that it would lead to upliftment of the society by making higher technical education a meaningful and a rational endeavor.
